The Rotary Club of Abuja Three Arms Zone stands as a testament to the enduring power of service, fellowship, and leadership. Chartered on 22 August 2025, the club was established through the collective vision and dedication of distinguished men and women committed to advancing Rotary's noble ideals and creating lasting impact within their communities.
The club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Abuja Maitama, whose mentorship and support played a pivotal role in nurturing the club from conception to charter. With a strong foundation built on Rotary values, the club commenced its journey with 32 Charter Members united by a common desire to serve humanity and promote positive change.
The club's pioneer leader, Rotarian Uche Nwosu, PHF, served as the Charter President, providing visionary leadership, fostering unity among members, and laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and impactful service. Under his stewardship, the club embraced the Rotary motto, Service Above Self, and embarked on a journey dedicated to humanitarian service, professional excellence, and community development.
A significant milestone in the club's history was the formal presentation of its Charter Certificate. This memorable occasion was graced by the presence of Rotary International President's Representative (RIPR), Yinka Babalola, and District Governor Dame Joy Nky Okoro, alongside numerous distinguished Rotarians, Rotary leaders, family members, friends, and well-wishers. Their attendance underscored the importance of the occasion and marked the official recognition of the Rotary Club of Abuja Three Arms Zone as a vibrant member of the global Rotary family.
From its earliest days, the club distinguished itself through active participation in Rotary programs, community outreach initiatives, membership development, and fellowship activities. The dedication and commitment of its members have enabled the club to build meaningful relationships within the community while promoting Rotary's Areas of Focus, including peacebuilding and conflict prevention, disease prevention and treatment, basic education and literacy, maternal and child health, economic empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
The Rotary Club of Abuja Three Arms Zone continues to grow as a dynamic platform where professionals, entrepreneurs, public servants, and community leaders collaborate to address societal challenges. Through innovative projects, strategic partnerships, and a shared passion for service, the club seeks to leave a lasting legacy of hope, compassion, and positive transformation for generations to come.
As the Rotary Club of Abuja Three Arms Zone continues its journey, it remains steadfast in its commitment to transforming lives, building stronger communities, and upholding the highest ideals of Rotary service. Guided by a spirit of friendship and service, the club looks forward to expanding its impact and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of Rotary's mission both locally and globally.
